YouTube Content ID Full Information in Details

So Hello Friends, I am Mukesh and welcome to my blog Gadgets Official. In today’s post, I will tell you what YouTube Content IDs are and how they work. These posts are very important for those who have their own YouTube channel and you upload your own video. Whenever someone copies your video, then you can give a CopyRight Strike or CopyRight Claim.

Now the thing to note here is that CopyRight Strike and Claim are both different things. What is the difference between these two, I am also going to tell in this post. So stay with me till the end of the post.

What is YouTube Content ID?

YouTube Content ID is the application security software created by YouTube. Its job is to find out duplicate content and give this information to the real owner of that content.

Now I explain it to you in an easy language.

Suppose you have a YouTube channel and your channel has got a Content ID. Whenever you upload videos on YouTube, then a copy of your video will be saved in YouTube’s Data Base, as well as a copy, which will also be saved with YouTube.

Whenever you upload a video, then you will know that after the video is uploaded, YouTube does video processing, in which YouTube examines your video very closely and collect important information related to your video and save it in their Data Base.

But for those whose channels have got Content ID, YouTube does extra work while doing video processing, that is, they save a special ID of their video. This will mean that whenever someone copies any part of your video, whether it is audio or video or whatever, if they copy and upload it on their channel, then you will get a message that your video has been copied by someone. And you can easily send them CopyRight Strike or CopyRight Claim. You do not need to do anything in it. All of this is done by YouTube’s Content ID Software itself. This is an amazing thing.

Now you know what YouTube Content ID is, but do you know that not everyone gets it. YouTube has some specific and strict rules for Content ID, just like Google AdSense. So let’s know which rules you need to follow to get the Approval of Content Id.

YouTube Content ID Eligibility Criteria

>>

The first rule of Content ID is that all the videos on your channel should be all your own. It is not only about videos, even if the logo of your channel is copied from anywhere, you will not get the Approval of Content ID. Like if I talk about my own YouTube channel, my YouTube channel Learning Civil Technology has got the Content ID Approval.

So, if you want to approve the Content ID on your channel, then you have to put original content on your channel.

>>

The next rules are that if you download someone’s video and edit it in that video with software if you upload that video on your channel, then even in such a condition you have not given the approval of Content ID from YouTube.

>>

If you put the trailer of someone else’s film on your channel or make a video by recording a game while playing it, then you will not be given the Approval of Content ID from YouTube.

>>

If you upload an unlicensed video on your channel, then you forget that you will get Approval of Content ID. Because unlicensed video does not remain unique and anyone can use it on any platform.

>>

If you have gone to a Live Concert and have recorded the Live Concert of your place and put it on your channel, then because of this you will not be given the Approval of Content ID from YouTube.

Now if you follow the above rule, then you have to fill up a form and required to take an Approval to use Content ID Software from YouTube. After submitting your form, YouTube will examine the entire content of your channel closely and if YouTube feels all right, then your channel will be approved.

Content ID Application Form

For Approval of Content ID, you have to submit a Form by Filling it Up. Click Here to fill the form.

After submitting the form, YouTube will review your channel. This review process takes YouTube 3 to 15 days. If all goes well, your channel will be given Content ID from YouTube.

But if you do not get Content ID, then you will be informed by email from YouTube that you cannot be given Content ID.

Now I tell you what is the difference between CopyRight Strike and Copy Right Claim. Videos are deleted by YouTube in Copy Right Strike and at the same time, 3 to 6 months of Strike takes place on the channel. If this happens thrice, then your account will be suspended. But in Copy Right Claim you make a settlement. Like if someone has copied your video and they are earning a lot of money from it. So you can claim all that money and YouTube will automatically credit the entire revenue of that video to your account as long as the video is on his channel.

I hope you find this information useful. If there is something that I have missed or I do not know, you can comment and tell me which I will try to rectify as soon as possible.
